In the main kettle, combine phase A ingredients using propeller mixing and heat to 78-80°C. Mix until uniform. Heat phase B to 78-80°C and mix well with propeller agitation. Then slowly add phase B to phase A with medium to high speed propeller mixing. At 40-45°C, add phase C to batch with propeller mixing. Switch to Silverson homogenizer and mix at 4,000 rpm until homogenous. Switch back to propeller agitation and cool with mixing to 25°C. At 25°C, adjust H to 3.6-3.8 using phase D. PROPERTIES: pH—4.2-4.5; Viscosity: [email protected] rpm (Helipath)=8,600 cps +/- 10%; Stability: 1 month at 50°C.
